Presidential Lecture, Dr. Byron G. Adams

Byron G. Adams is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist from Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds a Ph.D. in Cross-Cultural Psychology from Tilburg University, the Netherlands. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Work and Organizational Psychology at Tilburg University, the Netherlands and a Senior Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Keynote, Dr. Alan Reifman

Dr. Alan Reifman, professor at Texas Tech University, and colleagues have developed a measure called the Inventory of the Dimensions of Emerging Adulthood (IDEA), which assesses exploration, taking responsibility for oneself, and other processes of the transition to adulthood. The IDEA has been cited nearly 100 times and translated into several languages. Beyond the IDEA, Dr. Reifman studies emerging-adult behavior in domains such as romantic relationships, relations with parents, substance use, and political activity.
