SSEA Best Poster Awards
Three Best Poster Awards will be granted to Master’s and doctoral students at the 7th SSEA Biennial Conference that will be held in Miami, October 14-16, 2015.
Who can apply? Master’s and doctoral students (SSEA members) presenting a poster at the SSEA conference.
How to apply? Master’s and doctoral students can apply
for the Best Poster Awards after they have received notification that their
poster has been accepted for presentation by the SSEA Conference Committee.
Those who are interested in participating are requested to send an email to
• Their poster in .pdf format
• A brief curriculum vitae (maximum 1 page)
• Specify in the subject line of their email “Application for Best Poster Award”
When to apply? The deadline for sending the email with the application is September 15, 2015.
How are posters evaluated? The evaluation of the posters will be done by a committee chaired by Elisabetta Crocetti (Utrecht University, the Netherlands) and consisting of three judges: Jeffrey Jensen Arnett (Clark University, USA); Meliksah Demir (Northern Arizona University, USA); and Kazumi Sugimura (Hiroshima University, Japan).
The committee will evaluate posters according to criteria related to originality and creativity, quality of the research, and quality of the presentation. Each applicant will receive the evaluation of his/her own poster with suggestions for improvement.
What is the award? Winning Master’s and doctoral
students will be recognized during the SSEA conference and will receive an
award certificate and a one-year free membership in the SSEA.
