Abby Goldstein, University of Toronto

Dr. Abby Goldstein is a clinical psychologist and Associate Professor of Applied Psychology and Human Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. Dr. Goldstein holds a Canada Research Chair in the Psychology of Emerging Adulthood and leads the Psychology of Emerging Adulthood Research Lab (PEARL). Dr. Goldstein uses multiple methods to examine factors that impact mental health, substance use and well-being in in emerging adulthood. The overall objective of her work is to develop policies and practices that meet the unique needs of this population. Current projects include a study of parent-emerging adult relationships and impacts on mental health and well-being, a qualitative study of student leave of absence policies in the context of mental health concerns, and an experience sampling study on cannabis use and coping.
