Kristin M. Anders (co-chair), Kansas State University, USA

Kristin M. Anders, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the College of Human Ecology at Kansas State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and is currently working on two Administration for Children and Families grants through the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services under Dr. Michelle L. Toews. These two grants aim to develop, implement, and evaluate relationship education programs for vulnerable youth. Her research areas focus on identity development during adolescence and emerging adulthood including sexual and romantic relationship development. She also examines how cultural and social norms can impact identity development, along with impacts on engaging in health risk behaviors (e.g., sexual risk behaviors, dating violence). She aims to use her research to better inform and strengthen sexual and relationship education programs in high schools and colleges.
